Cost visibility on the dashboard
- Recent generations: Each recent item shows the cost of that generation alongside the model and timestamp.
- Aggregated costs: Totals and averages are not shown on the dashboard today; use session history or billing tools for full spend reviews.
If you need a quick gut check on spend, scan the recent generations grid—the cost badge is visible without leaving the dashboard.
Where to review detailed costs
- Session history: Open a session and review each batch; costs are displayed per generation alongside prompts and models.
- Billing/credits: Use your billing pages to see overall credit balances and purchases (outside the dashboard UI).
Managing usage effectively
- Multi-model runs: Remember each selected model incurs its own charge—plan comparisons intentionally.
- Aspect ratios: Larger mapped sizes may cost more on certain models; defaults are chosen to stay within supported limits.
- Failures: Failed generations still count toward request totals; if failures increase, verify prompts and references before rerunning.
Best practices
Check recents: Glance at the cost labels in the Recent generations grid after large batches to ensure spend matches expectations.
Plan comparisons: When running multi-model batches, estimate total images (one per model) so costs aren’t a surprise.
Use history: If you see an unexpected cost, open the session history to review the specific batch and model combination.
