Open Canva provides several tools to help you organize your sessions and keep your work structured:- Folders: Group related sessions together

Using folders
Creating folders
Access folder creation
In the sessions sidebar, look for the folder creation option (usually a folder icon with a plus).
Name your folder
Enter a descriptive folder name that represents the group of sessions it will contain.Good folder names:
- “Client Projects”
- “2024 Campaigns”
- “Personal Art”
- “Experiments”
Folder structure
Create a folder hierarchy that makes sense for your workflow:Drag and drop
Moving sessions
- Click and hold on a session in the sidebar
- Drag it to the desired location
- Drop it into a folder or new position
Reordering
Drag sessions within the same folder to reorder them:- Move important sessions to the top
- Group related sessions together
- Organize by date or priority
Search functionality
Finding sessions
Use the search feature to quickly locate sessions:- Open search: Click the search icon or use keyboard shortcut
- Enter keywords: Type part of the session name
- View results: Matching sessions appear instantly

- Partial matches: Search finds sessions containing your search term
- Case insensitive: Search works regardless of capitalization
- Real-time: Results update as you type

Create folders within folders for detailed organization:- Top level: Broad categories
- Second level: Specific projects or clients

Session tags or labels
While Open Canva may not have explicit tags, you can use naming conventions:- Prefix with category:
[CLIENT] Project Name - Use separators:
Project - Category - Date - Include status:

Maintenance
Regular review
Periodically review your session organization:- Archive old work: Move completed projects to archive folders
- Delete unused: Remove test sessions and experiments you no longer need
- Reorganize: Adjust structure as your workflow evolves
Backup important work
Before deleting or archiving:- Download important images
- Export session data if available
- Keep backups of critical work
