# Usage Charts

> Learn how to read and interpret usage charts in the Open Canva dashboard. Understand daily usage, model breakdown, trends, and other visual analytics.

## Chart overview

The Open Canva dashboard includes two charts to summarize usage for the selected range (7 or 30 days).

## Chart types

### Daily stacked bars

**What it shows**: Daily generation counts broken down by your top three models.

**How to read**:

* **X-axis**: Dates within the selected range
* **Y-axis**: Number of generations
* **Stacked colors**: Contribution from each of the top three models

**Use it to**:

* Spot which days were busiest
* See which models drove activity on specific days

### Model breakdown pie

**What it shows**: Percentage share of model usage across the selected time range.

**How to read**:

* **Slices**: Each model
* **Size**: Share of total generations

**Use it to**:

* Identify your most-used models
* Confirm whether your usage is concentrated or balanced

## Reading charts effectively

### Time range selection

Charts respond to the **7-day** or **30-day** range selected in the dashboard header.

## Chart features

### Interactive elements

Many charts are interactive:

* **Hover**: See exact values for data points
* **Click**: Drill down into details
* **Zoom**: Focus on specific time periods
* **Filter**: Show/hide specific models or categories

### Color coding

Charts use colors to distinguish:

* **Models**: Different colors for each AI model
* **Status**: Colors for success/failure
* **Categories**: Different chart elements

## Understanding patterns

* **Peak days**: Days with highest generation counts
* **Consistent usage**: Regular daily activity
* **Spikes**: Sudden increases in usage
* **Drops**: Decreases that might indicate issues

### Model preferences

* **Model trends**: Increasing or decreasing usage of specific models
* **Balance**: Whether you're using models evenly or favoring some
